The structure of my museum is basically in two parts. The main part of it is the web page. This web site holds all of the different wings and will show the viewer all specific components of the museum. Under the main directory, there will be an index that will let you choose which hall or wing you would like to view. This makes taking a tour of the museum much easier and more compact. The sound part of the museum may or may not be needed in order to listen to the sound clips. If in fact you do need the CD, there is a CD made up for it and there is also a CD player in the corner of wing seven so it can be played and enjoyed.
As for the actual building of my museum, I chose to make it in the shape of an A, because my name (Andrea) starts and ends with that letter. It ended up working well having the A be the shape of my museum because the extension of the two legs of the A serves as a path or a type of walkway. The inside of the museum has nine rooms, which each wing has its own place. There are a few doorways that add a special touch to the museum in that they are in arcs, or different shapes, which make it look for formal or real. Some of the rooms are bigger than others because there are more painting or other content that belongs there. The sound hall for example it a smaller wing because basically all there is, is a CD player so you listen to the various sounds. The largest wing is the hall of achievements. I made it so big because achievements are very important, and deserve a lot of attention. Each achievement gets one side of a wall as a tribute to what it has accomplished.
The outside of my museum is very nicely decorated with plants, trees, and flowers. I think that in order to attract attention and look good, the outside appearance must be good looking. I chose to pant a variety of flowers out front so it would attract the most amounts of people with their bright colors. Trees are also a big part of the landscaping in that they provide shade for part of the museum, and to those people who like to just sit outside and take in everything from the shade. If you don't like sitting on the lawn, you can always take a seat inside the gazebo located to the front right of the museum. It is a good way to relax, and at the same time enjoy the sights. There is also when you first walk into the museum tall light fixtures which give off an exceptional shadow at night of the museum. Next to these lights are states of lions. I put these there as a symbol of protection. I want my museum to be a safe place for everyone, so maybe these sculptures will help aid in that goal. The windows play a big role in the museum because there are so many of them. I wanted there to be a lot of lighting inside, and not a lot of artificial light. Some of the windows are very beautiful and come in all different shapes and sizes.
My museum is located in my hometown, Sandown New Hampshire. I don't want it in a big city or someplace where is will get run down. My museum will do great business because of the fact that it is in Sandown. Everyone will known that it is mine, and will be impressed with it, which will hopefully result in people coming to visit it a lot. Even if people don't seem to come and view it, it will still be important to me because I created it, and it is all about me. Having all of this artwork revolve around my ideas and views is something special in itself. When you take a tour of my museum, you are not only looking at art, but you are looking within me.
